After a well earned learning experience in Seattle, I took on citizenM’s second West Coast development in downtown Los Angeles. I led the project’s design and project management from entitlements through construction until its pending operation. The prime accomplishment was the project’s modular construction. I onboarded a brand new modular supplier for citizenM, CIMC out of China. This project is the tallest volumetric building in the (seismic) world. Building a European product, in China, for a jobsite in California was a monumental effort, but hey, it looks damn great.
